Manuela Fisk

Artist

Manuela Fisk was born and raised in Switzerland.  Her passion for art brought her to Florence, Italy, where she completed a rigorous five year program and was thusly awarded the Master's Degree in Fine Arts at the Florence Academy of Russian Art. Manuela was trained in the classical Russian tradition which included such skills as drawing and painting from life models, creating compositions based on classical foundations, and utilizing an expansive color pallet. Her skills developed quickly within the challenging and demanding Russian academic environment. Her style was further shaped and molded by the presence of the Italian renaissance art found in Florence's vast collection of paintings, drawing, and sculptures.

Manuela has participated in several exhibitions. Her work has experienced immediate and consistent recognition for its beauty, skill, and emotion. In 2013 she won the first prize at an internationally recognized event held in Lerici, Italy in honor of the late United States president John F. Kennedy. Later that year both paintings and drawings were exhibited at the Biennale d'Arte di Firenze, the major contemporary art exhibition in Florence, Italy. In 2015 and 2016 selected works were chosen from amongst her peers and were exhibited on behalf of the Florence Academy of Art. As the representative of her academy, Manuela's works were displayed at the prestigious Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, the former royal palace of the Medici family. In 2016 two works were requested and displayed as part of the event titled "Miss Arte Moda Italia - The rebirth of figurative sacred Art" in Livorno, Italy. In 2017 Manuela Fisk was invited to exhibit art at the "Galerie Kunstsammlung" in the beautiful city of Unterseen, Switzerland. Manuela's art is currently on display at various art galleries in Florence. She currently resides in Switzerland with her husband and children.
